3d models – whether or individual buildings, whole developments or even entire cities – provide compelling, accurate and flexible visualisations of new developments and their impact on the environment. While this obviously offers significant advantages where developments are planned in areas of outstanding natural beauty, or in complex or culturally sensitive urban environments, Virtual Viewing’s work is used to support a much wider range of planning application – as this example shows.

By overlaying natural lighting as it would be experienced – at different times of day and in different seasons – we worked with Mayrose Properties to develop  this 3d animation-derived video to support a right of light appeal. Doing so successfully showed how a neighbouring BMW showroom would not have its light impeded by the proposed new development.
